Dave Coulter on the Creation of the Post-Modern Hedgerow
1969-12-31
Arborist Dave Coulter has become an advocate for what he calls the post-modern hedgerow--a linear assemblage of plants in landscapes and fields that could used to increase biodiversity or to protect pollinators or endangered species or more. He has convinced the Midwest-Great Lakes Chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration to include a discussion of hedgerows in their 2015 chapter meeting called Cultivating Ecological Restoration within Human Dominated Landscapes. which will be held at the Chicago Botanic Garden from March 27-29.
